To use the e-Tax Mobile application, taxpayers only need to download and install the application on a smartphone or tablet.

To support tax payers in tax payment and implement the “Project for developing non-cash payment in Vietnam for 2021-2025” and “National Digital Transformation Program" by 2025 of the Prime Minister, the General Department of Taxation has provided e-services to taxpayers by expanding the eTax application on the web platform to eTax Mobile.

Taxpayers only need to download and install the application on a smartphone or tablet. The application can be installed and used on all mobile devices using IOS and Android.

The application provides taxpayers with key functions such as registering to open an e-tax transaction account with the tax authority; searching obligations of personal income tax, VAT, registration fee, agricultural fee, agricultural land use fee, land use fee.

Taxpayers can also pay taxes online with the system of commercial banks; search tax dossiers, tax finalization, taxpayer information, dependent information and other utilities for taxpayers.

Currently, the General Department of Taxation has upgraded the eTax Mobile application to meet account registration by verifying bank account information.

When the taxpayer declares his or her bank account number, the system will verify the taxpayer's information on eTax mobile with the taxpayer's information connected to the banks. If the information is verified, the application allows the taxpayer to register or grant an account.

As of June 22, 2022, banks have connected to authenticate accounts with tax authorities including BIDV, VCB, SCB, ACB, Hdbank, and TPbank.

Currently, the General Department of Taxation carries out authentication with other banks such as: OCB, VTB, MB, VIB, LienViet, OceanBank, Viet A Bank, Eximbank, Shinhan Bank and will notify taxpayers soon.
