According to the Hanoi Tax Department, from the beginning of the year until now, the revenue from e-commerce activities by businesses, households, and individuals has exceeded VND1 trillion, a 265% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
To achieve this result, the Hanoi Tax Department has been actively conducting various forms of communication to help individuals, households, and businesses operating in e-commerce understand and proactively register, declare, and pay taxes in accordance with the law. Simultaneously, the department has provided support to taxpayers in carrying out electronic tax registration, declaration, and payment procedures.
In addition, the Hanoi Tax Department has collaborated with the Hanoi City Police in disseminating regulations related to the handling of administrative tax and invoice violations, thereby enhancing the public's awareness of tax law compliance and fulfilling their obligations to the State budget.
The Hanoi Tax Department has also proactively reviewed tax obligations to identify potential violators and has coordinated to provide relevant information and dossiers to the police for investigation and strict handling of violations of the law in the e-commerce field.
