Long Thanh Customs Branch under the Dong Nai Customs Department has issued a decision to impose sanctions for administrative violations on a firm for making a false origin declaration.

H.R VN Co.,Ltd imported a shipment of unprocessed and non-alloy zinc under the regime E31 with a quantity of 20,684 kg and valued at VND 1.66 billion.Through physical inspection, Long Thanh Customs Branch discovered the firmmade a false declaration of goods name and origin, as the goods originated from Australia, but the company declared them as Taiwanese origin.
The company violated Article 8 of Decree 128/2020/ND-CP dated October 19, 2020. Therefore, Long Thanh Customs Branch issued a decision to fine the company VND 5.5 million .
Previously, in 2020, Dong Nai Customs Department handled many violations on origin of import and export goods. Typically, D. VN Company traded goods with fake labels and packaging for 575 vacuum cleaners exported to the US with a total value of some US$30,000. These vacuum cleaners are assembled from components and accessories made from China.
