Accordingly, Digiworld will manage two main distribution channels for Shell: business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B).
The B2C channel will target auto and motorcycle repair shops, service centers, and automotive and motorcycle parts retailers. The B2B channel will focus on industrial parks, factories, and businesses that use lubricants in manufacturing and operations.
Digiworld will develop, manage, and coordinate Shell's distribution network while monitoring the performance of each channel, the company said.
The partnership marks Digiworld's latest expansion into a new product category. Unlike the technology products it has distributed for years, lubricants have a more fragmented market structure spanning retail outlets, repair shops, and industrial customers.
Vietnam's lubricant market was estimated at 380 million liters in 2025 and is expected to reach nearly 399 million liters in 2026, according to Mordor Intelligence. The research firm projects the market to exceed 500 million liters by 2031, implying average annual growth of nearly 5% between 2026 and 2031. Lubricants for cars and motorcycles alone are estimated to account for about 280 million liters in 2026.
The partnership with Shell gives Digiworld an opportunity to leverage its distribution capabilities in a market benefiting from rising vehicle ownership and industrial activity, while diversifying its revenue base beyond technology and consumer electronics.
DGW shares were traded at VND40,850 ($1.56) each as of mid-Wednesday.
