At 6pm on December 11, at Nam He 1 village, He Muong commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province, Dien Bien district police chaired and coordinated with PC04 Division, Dien Bien Police, Tay Trang Border Guard Station and Tay Trang international border gate Customs Branch, the Drug Enforcement Team (Dien Bien Customs Department) to successfully crack case 921D and caught a man named Lau A Dinh, born in 1997, residing in Na U commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province for drug trafficking.
At the scene, the authorities seized four packages of heroin, a motorbike and evidence related to the case.
The authorities are preparing procedures and expanding investigation of the case.
Previously, on December 5, at landmark area 117 in Na U village, Na U commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province, the working group including Tay Trang international border gate Customs Branch worked with Tay Trang Border Guard Station and Drug and Crime Prevention (Dien Bien Border Guard Command) to detect a man on the Vietnamese-Laos border area with suspicious signs.
Thus, the working group asked the man to stop for inspection. The man declared his name as Dia Va (Lao nationality).
The group discovered a cloth bag containing 30 plastic bags of pink tablets with the symbol WY (suspected to be synthetic drugs).
The man confessed that the 6,000 tablets were synthetic drugs.
