Along with this, Deo Ca Group, a major contractor in southern and central regions, proposed a plan to establish a Research and Training Institute under University of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City (UTH), combining the Deo Ca’s experience and management capacity in transportation and UTH's research and training strengths.
The Institute will train, receive and expedite technology transfer in the transportation field, study and apply technology for practical application.
Deo Ca will invite members of the Advisory Council and assign several vital leaders to join the Founding Council and Executive Board of the Institute. Those prioritised for training are UTH students, Deo Ca's employees, and their partners.

The Institute will organise training based on Deo Ca’s orders, focusing on training masters and doctorates, thematic or short courses in transport infrastructure.
Regarding research and technology transfer, the Institute will research new technologies and application solutions for Deo Ca Group and the transport industry.
Its laboratory will be built to study work quality and safety inspection, materials testing, construction solutions, and other specific experiments.
At the meeting, Deo Ca chairman Ho Minh Hoang noted that the cooperation would benefit both sides, dedicating their best to the country’s development.
Deo Ca also ordered UTH to train human resources for the urban railway sector with specialities such as construction, locomotives-rolling stock, electricity-control- automation, and operation. Trainees will be UTH students with relevant professions and Deo Ca’s staff with expertise in work construction.
In addition, the two sides agreed to cooperate in transport infrastructure construction consultancy. Specifically, Deo Ca will invite UTH lecturers to research special-level projects such as cable-stayed bridges and railway tunnels and coordinate in implementing construction drawings, experiments, and inspection.
Nguyen Xuan Phuong - rector of UTH, said he appreciated the prestige, capacity, and experience of Deo Ca Group in transport infrastructure.
“Leveraging cooperation with Deo Ca Group, our university could accompany this major contractor in the construction of key national traffic works,” he said.
The two sides also agreed to join effort in the project on establishing the institute, shortly complete procedures, sign a strategic cooperation agreement, and prepare facilities for training.
