At the reception, the Vietnamese Defence Minister expressed his confidence that the Korean diplomat will fulfill his tasks and make positive contributions to developing the strategic partnership between the two countries, including defence cooperation.
Lich hailed the growing bilateral defence ties in recent years, especially in high-level delegation exchange, defence policy dialogue, personnel training and settlement of consequences of post-war unexploded ordnance.
He suggested both sides continue to effectively carry out signed defence cooperation agreements and intensify delegation exchange, particularly among young officers, and the sharing of experience in the time to come.
Lich also thanked the RoK Government for its great support for Vietnam in the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control.
For his part, the Korean ambassador pledged his best effort to accomplish his missions as a way of promoting the practical and effective development of relations as well as defence cooperation between Vietnam and the RoK.
