As many as 202 Vietnamese nationals repatriated from Germany and Spain due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) arrived in Da Nang city, central Vietnam, on May 16.

Busses were deployed to transfer the returnees to an army controlled
quarantine centre for medical surveillance
A Vietnam Airlines plane departing from Madrid (Spain) with 202 passengers on board touched down on the runway of Da Nang International Airport at 15.00.
Among the passengers were 18 diplomatic and official passport holders. The remainder were the elderly, patients, children and students who had completed their study.
Upon their arrival, all the passengers and crew members made compulsory health declarations, had body temperature checked and were then transferred to an army-controlled quarantine centre for medical observation.
Since the disease broke out in Vietnam in late January, 6 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Da Nang alone, and they have fully recovered for the disease.
