The news comes after Da Nang’s tourism promotion centre signed a tourism ad deal on June 4 with Global Book Corporation, an official media representative of the BBC World News television channel.
A 30-second clip that advertises Da Nang as a tourism destination will broadcast each day on the BBC World News television channel for the Asia-Pacific region, with the short video set to be played 98 times over the course of one month.
Viewers will be able to catch glimpses of an array of beautiful images from the central Vietnamese city through the BBC World News television channel at intervals such as from 6am to 9:30am, 9:30am to 5pm, 5pm to 7pm, and 7pm to midnight. The price of the tourism advertisement campaign has not been disclosed.
The video specifically features Da Nang as a dynamic and friendly city that boasts a rich traditional culture, mouth-watering delicacies, and a stable and safe location.
One of the largest news channels globally, BBC World News has the experience of advertising tourism destinations for many countries and organisations worldwide. Currently, 40 countries and airlines from Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Greece, Egypt, and India utilise the tourism ads shown on the channel.
To stimulate domestic tourism, Da Nang is promoting the “Da Nang Thank You” campaign, which will offer discounts in accommodation and entertainment services for guests until the end of the year.
