The General Department of Vietnam Customs has just issued a Plan of Action to improve the quality and efficiency of providing online public services of the General Department of Vietnam Customs in 2024.
In a conversation with reporters, a representative from the Customs Information Technology and Statistics Department (General Department of Vietnam Customs) stated that the important goals set out in the plan are to continue reviewing and proposing solutions to reduce and simplify regulations related to business activities, eliminating unnecessary and outdated regulations.
Ensure that by 2025, at least 20% of regulations will be reduced and simplified, and at least 20% of compliance costs related to business activities in existing legal documents as of December 31, 2020 will be reduced, in accordance with the requirements of Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP dated May 12, 2020 of the Government.
Complete the integration of all eligible online public services under the management of the General Department of Vietnam Customs into the Public Service Portal and the Electronic Single Window Information System of the Ministry of Finance; 100% of full-process online public services eligible for connection are integrated into the Public Service Portal and the Electronic Single Window Information System of the Ministry of Finance; 100% of full-process online public services eligible for connection, related to many people and businesses, are integrated into the National Public Service Portal.
Achieve the targets for the provision and use of online public services in the customs field as stated in Appendix I attached to Decision No. 1584/QD-BTC dated July 8, 2024, issuing the Action Plan to improve the quality and efficiency of providing online public services of the Ministry of Finance in 2024 (the ratio of administrative procedures eligible for full-process online public services is 100%; the ratio of administrative procedure files processed entirely online is 95%; the ratio of online generated files is at least 90%).
Continue to effectively implement Decision No. 1865/QD-BTC dated September 13, 2022 of the Ministry of Finance approving the Project on Innovating the receipt and return of results of administrative procedure settlement under the one-door mechanism of the Ministry of Finance to meet the goals and requirements of administrative reform, especially the reduction and simplification of administrative procedures through the application of information technology.
Continue to organize, deploy, and operate the Single Window Division at the General Department of Vietnam Customs and local customs departments to ensure stability; receive and return results of administrative procedure settlement in full compliance with the deadline for individuals and organizations; improve the satisfaction level of individuals and organizations with the services of Customs agencies.
Strive for at least 90% of people and businesses to be satisfied with the settlement of administrative procedures by Customs; 100% of officials and civil servants use online public services and publicize and guide relatives to use online public services, limiting the submission of direct dossiers.
Publicize and guide those who carry out procedures to use online public services on mass media.
In the plan, the General Department of Vietnam Customs requires affiliated units to deploy synchronous solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of providing online public services in both aspects: increasing the ratio of online public services provided and increasing the ratio of actual online dossiers generated. Thereby, promoting the digital transformation of the General Department of Vietnam Customs and the Ministry of Finance.
Organize the implementation, ensuring timeliness, quality, efficiency, and adherence to the deadlines according to the issued Plan.
