The Ministry of Health confirmed on July 25 that another two people returning from coronavirus hit Russia have been diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the country’s tally of COVID-19 infections to 415.

The two newly detected cases are Vietnamese citizens who boarded the VN5062 flight to Vietnam from Russia on July 17, transiting through Belarus.
Upon arriving at Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh province, they were immediately transferred to a concentrated quarantine facility in Ninh Binh province.
They first tested negative for the virus on July 19 and the second test results came back positive four days later.
The patients were transferred to a medical centre in Ninh Binh for observation and treatment.
Earlier, 19 out of 230 passengers boarding the same aircraft from Russia were confirmed to have carried the virus.
As a result, Vietnam has recorded a total of 415 coronavirus cases since the first infection was confirmed in January. No deaths have been reported.
Of the total figure, 365 patients have fully recovered from the disease, making up 88.0%.
The remaining 50 cases are receiving treatment at different medical centres across the country, with four of them having tested negative once. They are all in stable health condition.
According to the Ministry of Health, Vietnam has gone through 100 days in a row without new locally transmitted infections.
