Vietnam has recorded no new coronavirus cases in the community for the 67 days in a row, while the British pilot, the most severe case in Vietnam, is expected to soon leave the intensive care unit for functional rehabilitation.

The British patient is expected to soon leave the ICU for functional rehabilitation
As of 6am on June 22, there have been 349 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Vietnam with no deaths reported. As many as 327 cases have fully recovered and have been discharged from hospital, making up 93.7% of the total.
The remaining 22 cases are receiving treatment at hospitals in stable health condition. Six of them have tested negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus at least once.
The past few days have seen several cases sporadically confirmed, but they all returned from epidemic hit countries. The imported cases were placed in quarantine for COVID-19 testing as soon as they landed in Vietnam, therefore they could not pose any risk to the community.
Currently, more than 5,700 people who had direct contact with COVID-19 patients and returned from epidemic hit areas are being quarantined for medical observation.
Regarding the British patient, a Vietnam Airline pilot, he has gone on to make a substantial recovery when he now can breathe without a ventilator the whole day.
Leading Vietnamese experts will hold a consultation early this week to assess his recovery before discharging him from the intensive care unit into the functional rehabilitation ward.
Globally, more than 9 million people have been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and nearly 500,000 people have died of the disease.
