As part of the programme, the students will receive free milk every month from October 2022 until the end of the school year in May 2023.
A total of 223,000 packs of milk will be distributed to the students. The students will also undergo a health check-up to monitor their physical development at the end of the programme.

In the first month of the programme, over 50 staff volunteers visited the four CapitaLand Hope Primary Schools and Kindergartens to distribute milk as well as 1,400 sets of healthy snacks to the students from 23 to 28 October.
CLD partnered with International Dairy Products JSC, one of Vietnam's fastest growth home-grown dairy product firms, to obtain milk for students under the nutrition programme.
October 2022 also marked the completion of new sanitation facilities across five primary and secondary schools in Bac Giang province.
CLD contributed more than $65,200 to provide proper toilets, urinals, and handwashing stations to create a healthy learning environment for 1,600 students.
These initiatives are part of CapitaLand’s annual GivingAsOne campaign that brings CapitaLand staff, business partners, and customers together to do good by uplifting the lives of vulnerable groups and supporting the environment in communities where CapitaLand operates.
Ronald Tay, CEO of CLD (Vietnam), said that as a responsible company, CLD remains committed to uplift the lives of the community as it expands presence in Vietnam – one of its core markets.
| “Through the nutrition programme at the CapitaLand Hope Schools in Vietnam and the improved sanitation in the schools in Bac Giang province, we hope to improve the students’ quality of life and learning environment, enabling them to better focus on their studies,” said Tay. |
Tay added that since 2007, CLD, through CHF support, has contributed to the construction and refurbishment of four CapitaLand Hope Schools and other school facilities to support the educational needs of children in rural communities in Vietnam.
“We have also rallied more than 750 staff to volunteer over 6,000 hours collectively across numerous philanthropic activities in Vietnam. We believe education is an important foundation for building a resilient society, and we look forward to working with more like-minded partners to amplify our efforts to support the education and development needs of the vulnerable children in Vietnam,” said Tay.
Truong Thi Hoa, representative from the Thanh Hoa District Department of Education and Training said, “We highly appreciate CLD’s contributions to improve the educational environment for children in Long An province. CLD has been supporting CapitaLand Hope Schools – Thanh Phuoc Primary School and Tan Tay Kindergarten – since 2015 and 2019 respectively. We look forward to further cooperation from the company in the years to come.”
In addition, CLD partnered with TOTO Ltd., one of the largest bathroom manufacturers in Asia, to install improved sanitation facilities across five schools in Bac Giang province.
The schools are Van Son Primary School in Thon Ga Hamlet, Thanh Luan Primary & Secondary School, Dai Son Primary & Secondary School in Son Dong district, Cam Ly Secondary School, and Luc Son Primary & Secondary School in Luc Nam district.
