Flight VN50 carrying 164 passengers and 16 crew members onboard landed at Can Tho International Airport on March 19 after traveling from London, the UK.

Following each person undergoing a medical examination, all passengers and crew members were put into medical quarantine at the Dong Thap Military School in line with guidelines set out by the Health Ministry. 

The purpose of the flight landing in Can Tho is to ease pressure on Noi Bai International Airport and Tan Son Nhat International Airport as thousands of passengers made their return to the nation from Europe and other Southeast Asian countries on March 18. 

Indeed, March 18 also saw Can Tho International Airport receive a flight from Singapore and a flight from Thailand carrying a total of 79 passengers.

Upon arrival, these passengers were subject to a strict medical examination at the airport before being transferred to isolation facilities at the Military School of Tra Vinh province.
