On October 25, ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ASEAN-BIS) 2021 took place virtually. Vietnamese Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh attended and addressed the event.

With the theme " Building Our Sustainable Digital Future”, this year's summit discussed the importance of the fourth industrial revolution, digital transformation, trade growth facilitation, how to address the consequences of COVID-19, and many other challenges for the region.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, the pandemic control and economic recovery are dependent on not only endeavors by a single government or country but also joint efforts by all the 10 ASEAN members as well as partners.
The Government of Vietnam is willing to cooperate to promote the connection of digital infrastructure, ensuring the digital ecosystem for all parties, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh affirmed.
The Vietnamese Government will strive to help enterprises conduct digital transformation, boost digital universalization, and create conditions for promoting investment in high technology towards green growth, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh added.
The ASEAN-BIS is held annually by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council. It is a unique and premier platform to hear how the key issues facing the region are being addressed and to discuss how to ensure the opportunities in ASEAN’s vibrant economies are developed sustainably and inclusively. It brings together the public and private sectors, and representatives of governments and industries in and outside ASEAN.
