Four Vietnamese returnees and two foreign nationals were confirmed positive for COVID-19 on Monday afternoon, bringing the national caseload to 2,852.

All new COVID-19 patients reported since April 1, 2021 are imported cases
Among the Vietnamese returnees, two were repatriated from the Republic of Korea on April 15, one brought home from Russia and the rest from the United Arab Emirates.
The British national is a 26-year-old woman who flew to Ha Noi on April 24 while the Iranian national is a six-year-old boy who took flight QR976 with his parent from Iran to Ha Noi on April 24.
Both of them are being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in the capital city’s Dong Anh District.
As the COVID-19 pandemic has evolved swiftly in ASEAN, the Ministry of Health has warned of a possible fourth COVID-19 wave in Viet Nam.
The imported risk of COVID-19 is really high and worrying, stressed Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long.
Nguyen called on citizens to seriously implement the ministry’s 5K campaign message: khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering) and khai bao y te (health declaration), saying these measures are decisive factor to reduce community transmissions./.
