This campaign commemorates the 10th anniversary of Roche's partnership with the Vietnamese healthcare sector in their joint efforts to enhance women's health since 2013.

"This health campaign specifically targets Vietnamese women and has had a significant impact in recent years," said Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan during the launch ceremony.

"It equips women with knowledge and urges them to proactively take care of themselves by actively screening for early detection of breast cancer. I call upon the community to join hands in pushing back against breast cancer. Businesses and organisations should implement screening programmes for cancer, particularly breast cancer, as part of regular health check-ups for women over 40 years old, aiming towards a strong and healthy Vietnam."

This year, a nationwide initiative has been launched to offer support to breast cancer patients. The "Breast Cancer Patient Forum" programme is being held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, providing patients with valuable advice, accurate information on diagnosis and treatment, and addressing their concerns throughout the treatment process.

It also serves as a platform for patients and healthcare professionals to connect, share experiences, and find inspiration in each other's resilience and optimism. Additionally, the "Hair for Cancer Patients" activity continues to be implemented in hospitals and cancer centres across the country.

"Screening and early detection play a crucial role in the fight against breast cancer among women," said Nguyen Thi Xuyen, former Deputy Minister of Health and president of the Bright Future Fund.

"The main goal of this campaign is to empower Vietnamese women with knowledge and raise their awareness about this life-threatening disease. I urge women to prioritise their health by adopting proactive habits such as regular breast cancer screenings and following the five essential steps for early detection."

Over the past decade, this campaign has made significant progress by conducting free screenings for over 72,000 women nationwide. Numerous women have received guidance on breast care, early detection methods, effective prevention strategies, and have had their questions about breast cancer answered through the informative "Doctor Talks" programme organised by the Fund.

Furthermore, public awareness initiatives such as illuminating buildings in pink and organising double-decker bus parades have successfully captured the attention of the community and generated a positive response towards early detection of breast cancer.
