The project aims to improve the quality of life for people and bring joy to local children, focusing on providing clean water systems, charity houses in Bu Gia Map commune and organizing the Green Mid-Autumn Festival for children in Phu Nghia commune in the province. These contributions not only bring practical benefits but also reaffirm Binh Minh and SCG Group’s commitment to working alongside communities to reduce social inequality and advance the path toward Inclusive Green Growth at the local level.

Bringing clean and safe water to the community

The project “Loving water, loving the future” has been carried out annually by Binh Minh Plastics Joint Stock Company (BM PLASCO) since 2022, with the goal of bringing safe and clean water to communities and improving the quality of life for local residents. Over the past three years, the project has installed 83,312 meters of pipelines, delivering clean water to 5,750 students and more than 104,280 households in remote areas and ethnic minority communities across the country, from the Mekong Delta to the mountainous provinces of the Northwest.

In 2025, the project will be implemented in Bu Gia Map commune, Dong Nai province, from July 2025 to December 2025, with a total funding budget of up to 1.235 billion VND. This project has installed a new water drainage system with a total of 34,560 meters of pipes, with the participation of the Binh Minh Plastic technical team and the cooperation of the people of 5 villages in Bu Gia Map commune, in order to bring clean water to 1152 households, contributing to improved access to clean water.

This is one of the initiatives of Binh Minh Plastic and SCG to create a more sustainable life for people. Thereby demonstrating the group's strong commitment to "Better You, Better Vietnam - Joining hands to build happiness" to the environment and the community.

The project "Loving water, loving the future" was launched in 2022. During 3 years, through the activities of the project, Binh Minh Plastic has installed 83,312m of pipes to bring clean water to 5,750 students and 104,280 households in remote areas and ethnic minorities throughout the country, from the West to the remote Northwest mountainous areas.

At the handover ceremony of the “Loving water, loving the future” project in 2025 in Bu Gia Map Commune, Dong Nai Province, Mr. Tran Lam – Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Bu Gia Map Commune People’s Committee – emphasized: “For the residents of Bù Gia Mập Commune, access to clean water is an essential need, closely tied to their health and daily lives. The support from the project “Loving water, loving the future” has helped bring safe water to local households, allowing people to live, work, and study with greater peace of mind. The care and generosity of businesses and benefactors such as Bình Minh Plastics and its partners stand as a clear testament to their social responsibility, compassion, and humanitarian spirit”.

As part of the project and in line with its commitment to comprehensive social welfare, Binh Minh Plastics’s Trade Union also presented a “House of Love” to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan, supporting local efforts

At the event, many households also expressed their deep gratitude and emotion: “Although this is the headwater area and the main water reserve of the province and the region, we mostly rely on rainwater or well water. In the dry season the wells run dry, and in the rainy season they become polluted with silt and debris, making the water unsafe. Without clean water, we have to walk kilometers to fetch it from streams or wait for the rain. Prolonged heatwaves in recent years have only made the situation more severe. Thanks to the support of Binh Minh Plastics and SCG, we now have a reliable source of clean water right in our village. Our daily life has become easier, essential needs are better met, and we can truly look forward to a brighter future.”

Beyond clean water, within the framework of the water project and in the spirit of supporting comprehensive social security, Binh Minh Plastic’s trade union also handed over the House of Love to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan, who is currently unable to work and does not have a stable source of income, the current residence is not safe, not meeting basic living needs. This activity aims to help particularly difficult cases of housing, contribute to the local government to well implement poverty reduction and create a more sustainable life for ethnic minorities in the locality.

Welcoming the green and warm mid-autumn festival for ethnic minority children

Following the water project is the Mid-Autumn Festival, which will take place in Phu Nghia commune, Dong Nai province on October 5, 2025, for 1,600 children.

The program was also attended by local leaders, teachers, representatives of Binh Minh Plastics, SCG, Duy Tan Plastics, the Central Youth Council and partners such as distributors Phuong Hoang, Thanh Dung, Chien Hoan, Nam Hải dealer and Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank For Industry And Trade.

At the program, many exciting and meaningful activities took place with the aim of bringing joy to students on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, such as a booth to exchange garbage for gifts. Environmental protection (students bring waste paper, recycled water bottles in exchange for school supplies), organize games and stage tableaus about the environment. Besides, there are activities.

Alongside festive activities, the organizers awarded 70 scholarships worth VND 70 million to outstanding students from disadvantaged backgrounds, spreading joy and motivation to the young generation.
