The International Lager Gold Medal was awarded for Bia Saigon Chill at Asia Beer Championship 2022

According to the organiser, Asia Brewers Network, the annual competition provides a trusted quality benchmark for consumers and independent feedback to the region's brewers. This year, it brought together 1,000 brewery owners, brewers, distributors, and industry suppliers from across Asia for the latest innovations in ingredients, processes and equipment

Bia Saigon Chill, produced with a cold-filtered technique at minus 2 degrees Celsius, bringing a refreshing and unique taste, was officially launched in 2020 to demonstrate how SABECO understands consumer demand and interests.

SABECO's booth attracted the attention of many foreign visitors at the Proud Vietnamese Goods Programme from October 29-30 in Hanoi

With the exclusive cold filtered technique at the extremely low temperature of minus 2 degrees Celsius, Bia Saigon Chill not only brings the most refreshing and cool taste but also preserves the distinguished aroma of brewer's yeast.

The design of Bia Saigon Chill has also had many breakthroughs, specifically the trendy blue colour highlighting the signature rising dragon. The product has a youthful, stylish look with two versions of the high-neck clear glass bottle and a tall thin can.

The top three beers in each category are awarded Gold, Silver & Bronze certificates. All beers that reach a pre-determined quality level also receive a "Chairman's Selection" accolade. Also, at Asia Beer Championship 2022, Bia Saigon lager was awarded the Chairman’s selection.

SABECO is on track to make significant inroads with product innovation and transformation

"The beer category in Vietnam and worldwide has been growing rapidly, and consumer tastes have evolved over the years. It is imperative for SABECO to keep up with time and to stay relevant to the changing consumer needs and preferences,” said SABECO general director Bennett Neo at a special event to mark the rebirth of the legendary Bia Saigon Special in March.

From the desire to dedicate itself to raising the national brand of Vietnam worldwide, SABECO has built a sustainable development model as the focus of the group’s long-term development strategy. SABECO is on track to make significant inroads with product innovation and transformation for the future, with the beverage giant’s endless efforts to please consumers in an ever-changing economy.

Last week, SABECO was honoured as one of the top 25 corporate brands in F&B by Forbes magazine

Vietnam is considered one of the world's largest and fastest-growing beer markets, featuring many well-known global brands such as Heineken, Carlsberg, and Sapporo. The emergence of additional foreign brands has increased rivalries, particularly in the premium beer market dominated by the biggest names.

Vietnam’s beverage sector sets the target to achieve a growth rate of 6-6.5 per cent in 2022, and the sector aims to produce 4.5 billion litres of beer this year, up 12 per cent against 2021 and equalling 88.5 per cent of the 2019 volume.

As a top player, SABECO has a good grip on advanced workings, such as in environmental management, or the latest management methods across the board. Overseas players in Vietnam also do a smart job in this field, leveraging their track records.

With 147 years of brewing history, SABECO has established itself as one of Vietnam’s leading companies. It includes 26 breweries and 11 trading subsidiaries and has a distribution network of 100,000 retailers nationwide.

SABECO offers a brand portfolio comprising some of the most well-loved beer brands in Vietnam, including Bia Saigon Chill, Bia 333, Bia Saigon Special, Bia Saigon Export, Bia Saigon Lager, Bia Lac Viet, and Bia Saigon Gold.
