The plant is expected to begin operations in December 2027.
The Management Board of Khanh Hoa's Economic and Industrial Zones recently granted an investment registration certificate to Bangshi Co Ltd, a British Virgin Islands-based company, to develop the plant.
The project will be carried out through Unitex Vietnam Co Ltd., an economic entity that is expected to be established for the project.
The plant will cover about 3.29 hectares at Lot C7 and part of Lot C8 in Du Long Industrial Park, Thuan Bac commune, Khanh Hoa province. It will produce knitted and woven fabrics and provide textile finishing services.
Its main products will include knitted fabrics made from polyester-spandex and nylon-spandex yarns, as well as fabrics for the garment industry and export markets.
The plant will have a designed production capacity of about 10.8 million square meters of fabric a year, equivalent to 2,400 tons of products annually.
The project has total registered investment of about $23.45 million. Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2026, with completion targeted for 2027 and commercial operations expected to start in December 2027.
Once fully operational, the plant is expected to employ 204 people, including 164 Vietnamese workers and 40 foreign workers. Annual export revenue is estimated at about VND490 billion ($18.74 million).
According to project documents, the plant will use automated knitting, high-pressure jet dyeing and fabric finishing technologies. High-pressure jet dyeing has been selected to improve color uniformity and to suit stretch fabrics made from nylon, polyester and spandex.
The plant is also expected to use a digital color measurement and matching system from Data Color, together with automated systems for weighing, mixing and supplying dyes and chemicals. The technology is intended to improve the accuracy of chemical use, reduce color deviations and limit manual handling during production.
The project also proposes digital production management systems to monitor equipment, energy consumption and operations, as well as heat recovery and water recycling solutions aimed at reducing the use of water and steam in certain production stages.
For environmental protection, the plant is expected to invest in a wastewater treatment system with a capacity of 800 cubic meters per day. Wastewater from dyeing and production will be collected and treated before being discharged into the centralized wastewater treatment system at Du Long Industrial Park in accordance with regulations. The project also proposes recovering part of the treated water for reuse in production.
Du Long Industrial Park was first granted its investment registration certificate on April 27, 2007. As of the end of May, its operating term had been extended from 50 years to 70 years.
The 407.28-hectare industrial park has total investment of VND2 trillion ($76.47 million) and is developed by Hoang Thanh Du Long Industrial Park Investment JSC.
As of the end of May, Du Long Industrial Park had attracted 10 corporate tenants, with total foreign direct investment (FDI) of about $73 million and domestic investment of about over VND2.47 trillion ($94.64 million). Three of the projects have begun operations, creating jobs for about 10,000 workers.
