The northern province of Bac Ninh has set up field hospitals numbered 3 and 4 to increase COVID-19 treatment capacity amid surge of new infection cases. 

The second 300-bed field hospital is located
in Gia Binh town of Bac Ninh's Gia Binh district

The third field hospital with 200 beds is located in Gia Dong commune, Thuan Thanh district while the fourth hospital with 500 beds is located in Bac Ninh city.

Earlier, the local authorities had built a 300-bed field hospital in Lien Bao commune, Tien Du district and another 300-bed field hospital in Gia Binh town of Gia Binh district.

Bac Ninh and the neighboring province of Bac Giang are being hit hardest by the resurgence of COVID-19, with 624 and 1,543 community infection cases, respectively, as of 6:00 am on May 27.

Bac Ninh has identified 4,800 people who came in close contact with confirmed cases and collected nearly 400,000 test samples.
