The Provisional Executive Board of the Bac Ninh Semiconductor Association officially debuted on September 9 with 20 members in a meeting with the attendance of provincial leaders, departmental representatives, and semiconductor enterprises operating in the northern province.
The establishment of the association creates a vital platform connecting state management agencies, businesses, universities, research institutes, and industry experts. This collaboration aims to foster a comprehensive semiconductor ecosystem, enhance local linkages, and gradually elevate domestic capabilities within the global value chain.
Moving forward, the association will center its operations on linking supply chain enterprises, coordinating high-quality workforce development, and driving research, innovation, and technology transfer. Additionally, it will facilitate investment and trade promotion, strengthen connections with foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises, offer policy consultation, and expand international cooperation.
A key priority is building a collaborative environment where domestic and FDI enterprises support each other across specific stages of the semiconductor manufacturing chain. The association will also partner with universities to assess workforce demand and customize training programs, allowing students early exposure to the industry to reduce recruitment and training burdens for businesses.
Enterprises welcomed the association as a necessary step to boost exchanges, investment matching, and mutual growth. They also recommended that provincial authorities resolve key operational challenges, including technical workforce development, stable power supply, and industrial infrastructure enhancements.
