Since its inception, ASIAN GROUP has invested in many fields such as tourism services, taxis, bird's nests, construction materials and vocational training. Could you tell us about the recent milestones of the company?

ASIAN GROUP, formerly known as Asian Company Limited, was established on June 16, 1996, and converted into a joint stock company in 2009. In nearly 28 years, with its right policies and effective business mindset, the company has grown and developed into a conglomerate group with many member companies. At every step, we follow the saying "don't put all your eggs in one basket" to mitigate risk.

At present, ASIAN GROUP has 11 members that employ thousands of workers and provide the market with a wide range of products and services such as manufacturing (mining and construction materials production), transportation (taxi and electric vehicles), services (tourism, protection and security), salanganes nest farming, production, processing and trading, vocational training and digital economy. All sectors support each other to do profitable business, pay taxes to the State Budget in time, pay full social insurance for employees, do not owe money to suppliers and workers, and do not owe money to banks.

In its 28 years with many successes, has ASIAN GROUP gone through many ups and downs?

The domestic economy in particular and the world in general have been volatile recently and thousands of businesses are facing difficulties. ASIAN GROUP has also been affected to some extent, but the group is still confident that it will not only survive but also expand and develop two new companies in 2023 and 2024 and create new business lines.

It is difficult to analyze the value of "gain" or "loss" because all successes and failures are valuable lessons. ASIAN GROUP has encountered and overcome economic crisis and recession. Just being alert, gradually finding opportunities from risks will be an important springboard to address challenges and strongly promote genuine businesses with a vision of going global.

The current trend is the dual “Digital and Green” transformation towards sustainable development. How has ASIAN GROUP utilized this value to sharpen competitiveness?

To stand firm in the business world, businesses must be innovative and creative (not just changing) because this also contributes to optimizing operations, especially creating new values and increasing competitive advantages.

In the dual transformation journey towards sustainable development, ASIAN GROUP has a great advantage: Administering the Z core technology platform, with unlimited customization and replication capabilities and having ecosystem solutions and capabilities to build and train digitally capable personnel. This is the basis to ensure that the group successfully deploys in many fields such as economy, trade, tourism, education and training, and will create the premise for building a local ecosystem, for sustainable local development!

Besides, ASIAN GROUP also always adheres to and clearly defines the "Blue Ocean Strategy", meaning that the group is participating in an untapped market in order to open up opportunities for it to survive and pioneer in technological application according to sustainable business digital transformation stages (five stages of David L. Rogers). We are also creating a group ecosystem with business alliances to create competitive advantages, and delivering many different values to partners and customers. The projects initiated and prioritized by us are Aconnect Ecosystem (connecting and allying businesses and promoting trade at 25 Le Loi Business Club); AnestLand Ecosystem (connecting B2B, B2C, C2C and O2O); Innovative startup ecosystem for students (in cooperation with institutes, secondary schools, colleges and universities in the province); Experiential tourism ecosystem for businesses, associations, unions and the Tourism Department; Vocational training ecosystem, soft skills training for vocational training centers; and Online market stalls for small traders and disadvantaged women.

The tourism industry of Khanh Hoa province is recovering and developing strongly. How will ASIAN GROUP participate in developing this segment? How has the group been concerned about sustainable development? How does it contribute to Khanh Hoa prosperity?

Developing the (green) tourism economy is one of the priorities of great importance. Tourism development will contribute to economic restructuring, increase national budget revenue, attract investment capital, export goods and positively impact the development of related economic sectors.

Above, we mentioned building a Local Ecosystem, including an Experiential Tourism Ecosystem that brings many values and interesting things to tourists (especially international tourists) - and a Tourism Ecosystem that is connected with relevant parties (Department of Tourism, Trade Tourism Promotion Center, local OCOP store system, VietGAP, WordGAP and others), and tourism businesses (tours, hotels, restaurants, entertainment areas and experiences); and developing professional tourism training for collaborators, tour guides and employees.

With the “Every family does green tourism, everyone does green tourism” approach, ASIAN GROUP sees the potential, value and great benefits for participants. We have an ambition, perhaps substantial, that is to invest in the Experiential Tourism Ecosystem in Khanh Hoa province. This is the first project on the Experiential Tourism Ecosystem that brings big distinctive, impressive differences to tourists, especially international tourists.

We want to find and connect strategic partners, to together create a sustainable business alliance ecosystem and connect with partners to bring economic value and benefits to participants and localities. We will be ready to share these solutions and connect businesses and organizations to together create a sustainable development ecosystem and enable Khanh Hoa province to “Create a new investment - business space.”
