Many localities have high rates of e-invoice issuance after each sale such as: Bac Ninh reached 97%, Thanh Hoa 95%, Yen Bai 87%, Quang Nam 79%, Ba Ria - Vung Tau 76%, Dak Lak 75%, Quang Ngai 74% and Hanoi 71%.
The General Department of Taxation will continue to request local tax agencies to drastically implement the Prime Minister's direction on e-invoices for retail petroleum business in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 123/2020/ND -Government CP on invoices and documents.
Regarding the e-invoices issuance in petroleum retail, Deputy Minister of Finance Cao Anh Tuan requested the General Department of Taxation to drastically deploy e-invoices created from cash registers and invoices in the petroleum industry in accordance with the law and the direction of the Prime Minister; promptly advise the Ministry of Finance to report to the Government and the Prime Minister on strengthening coordination with other ministries, central and local agencies to implement this effectively, synchronously and create consensus and support in public opinion; and improving the quality and efficiency of application, risk handling, and analysis of e-invoice data.
According to the Deputy Minister, the implementation of e-invoices nationwide from July 1, 2022 with many practical benefits has received a lot of attention and direction from the Government and Government leaders as well as the support of the business community.
The successful building of an e-invoice system helps the tax system obtain important data sources for management and contributes to preventing fraud and violations of invoice and tax laws.
Therefore, the implementation of e-invoices in general and e-invoices initiated from cash registers and invoices in the petroleum industry must be given more attention and comply with legal regulations and has strict punishment for violations of the law.
