They will be kept under medical surveillance during the 14-day quarantine period according to regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control before getting down to work at Dung Quat industrial park in Quang Ngai.

Phung Thi Ly Ha, deputy general director of the Hanoi Railway Joint Stock Company, said the Chinese experts were arranged to sit on six carriages. They were required to put on protective clothing throughout the trip.

Three workers of the railway sector were deployed to provide services for the experts. They were also provided with protective equipment.

The special train left Dong Dang Railway Station in northern Lang Son province on June 11. It transited through Hanoi and ran directly to Quang Ngai province.

Upon arrival, the Chinese experts and three railway workers were transferred to a concentrated quarantine facility, while the train was disinfected against the possible virus transmission.
