The Tay Ninh People’s Committee, in coordination with the province's Economic Zone Management Board and Thu Thua Industrial Park & Urban Development JSC (IDTT), held the groundbreaking ceremony for the industrial park (IP) project in Thu Thua commune last Saturday.
This is the first IP to be launched in the new Tay Ninh province following the merger of Long An province with Tay Ninh on July 1, 2025.
Covering 170.7 hectares, the project has a total investment exceeding VND3,000 billion ($114.36 million). It boasts a strategic location about 45 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City, with easy access to highways and international ports.
The IP is designed to attract investors in processing, manufacturing, supporting industries, electronics, logistics, and high-tech agriculture.

Le Thanh Tung, chairman of IDTT’s board of directors, said Thu Thua Industrial Park will be a modern, multi-functional complex prioritizing clean industries and applying green and smart standards.
The infrastructure will include a wastewater treatment system, renewable energy facilities, logistics hubs, worker housing, and commercial services - forming a sustainable industrial ecosystem.
The project will be developed in two phases. Phase 1, focusing on technical infrastructure, is set for completion by the end of 2025. Phase 2 will expand the IP based on investor demand and is expected to be completed between 2026 and 2027.
Nguyen Van Ut, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, emphasized that the IP is designed to be environmentally friendly and attract clean industries, high-tech enterprises, logistics providers, and supporting service producers.
It is expected to generate tens of thousands of high-quality jobs for local workers, increase provincial revenue, boost competitiveness, and contribute to building an integrated industrial-urban-service ecosystem in southern Vietnam.
“Today’s groundbreaking marks a milestone for the newly merged Tay Ninh province. This is the first industrial park to break ground here, underscoring the determination of the Party Committee and the provincial government to develop Tay Ninh into one of the more advanced industrial and logistics hubs in the southern key economic region,” Ut added.
