VCCI

   Established in 2001, the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council (VWEC) under the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) is an organization representing female entrepreneurs, businesses, and business organizations owned/run by women (Associations, Unions, Women Entrepreneurs Clubs, etc.) in all economic sectors nationwide. VWEC has a network of specialized staff operating at 09 VCCI branches/representative offices nationwide.

   VWEC's functions are: Representing, supporting and protecting the legal and legitimate rights of the female business community; Supporting the promotion of domestic and international trade, investment and technology transfer activities for female entrepreneurs; Supporting the building of harmonious labor relations and implementing gender equality in enterprises.

Main areas of operation

- Policy advocacy: participate in contributing ideas to build relevant policies and laws to improve the business environment for female entrepreneurs: organize seminars, conferences, conduct surveys, research, collect opinions of businesses and female entrepreneurs to build policy recommendations to send to relevant agencies to contribute to the building and amendment of policies and laws related to businesses employing many female workers, businesses owned and led by women.

- Supporting trade, cooperation and investment promotion:

+ Organizing business delegations to survey the market, learn about the investment and business environment abroad, supporting female-led businesses to meet and contact business associations in the destination country to connect businesses;

+ Welcoming international business delegations to Vietnam to learn about investment and business opportunities;

+ Organizing the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Forum, conferences, seminars and events to connect businesses, promote trade and investment for businesses and female entrepreneurs.

- Improving capacity for businesses owned and led by women:

+ Organizing seminars, conferences, forums to provide updated information on the domestic and international economic situation, modern business models, product development trends to help improve competitiveness for businesses

+ Organize training programs, advise businesses on corporate governance, ESG practices to help build a sustainable and inclusive business

- Support brand building, honor businesses, female entrepreneurs, promote social responsibility:

+ Support the building of harmonious labor relations and the implementation of gender equality in enterprises;

+ Organize the program to evaluate and award the title "Outstanding Vietnamese Female Entrepreneur" - Golden Rose Cup;

+ Introduce and nominate Vietnamese female entrepreneurs to participate in prestigious international and regional awards; introduce and nominate female entrepreneurs to participate in international and regional training programs;

- Building and developing a network of women entrepreneurs: Supporting and consulting on the establishment/connection of Associations/Associations of women entrepreneurs from central to local levels; Connecting and cooperating with organizations of women entrepreneurs domestically, regionally and internationally.
