During 23 years of establishment and development, VCCI Thanh Hoa Branch has carried out most of the activities according to the general functions and tasks of VCCI, with a local scale in the two provinces of Thanh Hoa and Ninh Binh. Currently, the Branch has more than 1,000 official members including business associations, enterprises of all economic sectors, fields and scales. Most of the corporations, general companies, and large enterprises in the two provinces are members of VCCI Thanh Hoa. Most of the member enterprises have stable business, prestige and brand in the market, actively contributing to the local socio-economic development.
The Branch has proactively and actively participated in efforts to improve the business environment of the two provinces; contributed ideas to perfect many mechanisms and policies for economic development, action programs to improve the PCI index; promoted administrative reform; performed well the function of a bridge between enterprises and the government and protected the legitimate rights of enterprises; collected, reflected and participated in giving opinions to resolve difficulties and problems of enterprises. The Project to Assess the Competitiveness Index of Provincial Departments, Branches, and District People's Committees (DDCI) of Thanh Hoa province is considered a practical and effective solution to reform administrative procedures, improve the investment and business environment from the grassroots level, proposed by VCCI Thanh Hoa and approved by the Provincial People's Committee, assigned to VCCI Thanh Hoa Branch to preside over implementation. The project proposed by the Branch aims to survey and evaluate the economic leadership and management capacity of provincial departments, branches, branches, and district People's Committees. The positive effects after the DDCI Index Announcement Ceremony of Thanh Hoa Province in 2021 have demonstrated the efforts of VCCI Thanh Hoa in reforming administrative procedures, improving the investment and business environment, creating favorable conditions for business development. Every year, the Branch organizes many activities to support the improvement of human resource quality and business performance in many diverse and rich forms such as: Training, coaching, conferences, seminars, consulting, etc. On average, VCCI Thanh Hoa organizes over 80 training courses every year, attracting over 6,000 participants... In the past 5 years, the Branch has organized more than 70 conferences to propagate and disseminate the law; over 400 training courses on business start-ups, fostering business administration knowledge for businesses, especially small and medium enterprises.
In addition to the general programs of VCCI, the Branch has proactively proposed a number of programs and projects and has been approved by the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province. The Branch has carried out many activities to support enterprises in international integration such as: Implementing cooperation agreements with the Industrial Promotion Agency of Seongnam City (Korea), the Chemnitz Chamber of Commerce (Germany), the Gumi City Business Association (Korea); coordinating with trade offices, embassies, and business associations to welcome foreign business delegations to seek cooperation and investment opportunities in Thanh Hoa and Ninh Binh; organizing business delegations to survey the market in European countries, Japan, Korea, the United States, and Australia; organizing many seminars to provide market information and connect with international enterprises. VCCI Thanh Hoa has been evaluated by the authorities and enterprises of Thanh Hoa and Ninh Binh provinces as the best representative and support organization for enterprises in the area.
Aware that as the market economy continues to develop, the role of VCCI will become increasingly important, VCCI Thanh Hoa will continue to improve and upgrade its operations to meet the needs of enterprises in the new context. Its focus will be on the following key activities:
Proactively and actively participate in the development and completion of a socialist-oriented market economy institution; contribute to strengthening the role of enterprises and entrepreneurs in the national economy.
Represent the business community in proposing and providing input to improve the legal system in line with the new situation, international practices, and trade agreements to which Vietnam is a signatory. Encourage, guide, and support enterprises in complying with legal regulations and fulfilling their obligations and responsibilities to the State, employees, and society.
Participate in and promote administrative reform, and the improvement of the investment and business environment; collect feedback from enterprises to convey to competent authorities; propose solutions and monitor the results of resolving difficulties and obstacles faced by enterprises.
Propose and implement programs, projects, and activities aimed at enhancing national competitiveness, improving business performance, and promoting international integration. Conduct research, surveys, and provide objective information on the economic and business situation to serve as a basis for formulating and implementing business support policies.
Encourage and support the development of corporate culture toward sustainable development goals, and actively participate in social welfare programs.
Contribute to improving the startup ecosystem and promoting innovative entrepreneurship; actively encourage individual business households and farms to establish enterprises in accordance with the Law on Enterprises.
