Established on January 7, 1994, the Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center (SME PC) is one of the first organizations in Vietnam with the task of supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The Center operates with the main function of being an advisory body, assisting the Standing Committee of VCCI in contributing opinions to build policies to promote the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and the private economic sector in Vietnam and implementing activities to promote and support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and the private economic sector in Vietnam.
Over the past 30 years, as a pioneer in supporting SMEs, the Center has continuously expanded and improved the quality of its services, increasingly actively contributing to policy development and supporting the development of SMEs. The Center's programs, projects and activities have achieved remarkable results and have been highly appreciated by the business community, partners and sponsors.
The SME Support Center has had regular cooperative relationships with domestic organizations in supporting SMEs such as ministries, departments, branches, provincial People's Committees, SME support organizations, banks, large enterprises, and universities. In particular, the Center also receives support and cooperation from many international organizations and enterprises such as the World Bank, ADB, ILO, UNIDO, UNDP, EU, INWENT, GTz, zDH, SNV, JICA, JETRO, Microsoft, Meta, etc.
In parallel with the task of advising and contributing to policies, the Center has developed and organized the implementation of specific and feasible programs, projects and tasks to support SMEs to reach international governance standards and modern business models, digital transformation, enhance business competitiveness, support SMEs to link value chains, public-private partnerships, etc. for rapid and sustainable development.
