VCCI

   Business Information Center (BIZIC) was established in 2000 with the mission of providing economic information to serve trade and investment promotion activities; consulting with the business community to advise VCCI leaders on recommendations to the Government in policy making, creating a legal corridor for the activities of the business community.

   On December 18, 2023, VCCI issued a decision to change the name of the Economic Information Center to the Center for Economic Information and Communication according to Decision No. 2657-LĐTM-TCCB signed on December 18, 2023 by the President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry.

   Over the past 20 years, the Center for Economic Information and Communication has contributed to improving the quality and efficiency of VCCI's operations as well as supporting the business community such as: Propagating and disseminating policies; surveying businesses; organizing conferences and seminars to support businesses; collecting and processing economic information to provide to businesses and partners; building and developing the VCCI website in Vietnamese and English; managing and operating the rural technical infrastructure to serve VCCI's operations.

   BIZIC has organized many delegations to conduct surveys, learn from experiences, and attend seminars and conferences abroad for about 250 students from over 200 enterprises nationwide.

   Regarding training support activities for enterprises, on average, each year the Center organizes about 20 training courses with about 1,000 students nationwide participating and national seminars with about 600 participants.

   Every year, BIZIC conducts at least 1 to 2 business surveys, with an average scale of 500 businesses each nationwide. Through the surveys, BIZIC and its partners have developed reports and edited them into book publications to serve the business community and relevant ministries, branches and agencies.

   To contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 7th National Congress of VCCI, term 2021 - 2026, from 2022, BIZIC has proactively proposed to adjust and supplement the functions and tasks of BIzIC in line with the vision, mission and development strategy of VCCI in the new period.

   One of the key tasks of BIzIC in the coming time is: Strengthening cooperation with press agencies to improve the quality and effectiveness of economic information in the press, contributing to building a business environment, especially a press media environment that promotes business development; providing regular, professional information on the activities of VCCI in particular and the business community in general to press and media agencies.

   To carry out this task, BIzIC has connected, consolidated and strengthened close cooperation with a group of specialized reporters and journalists assigned to monitor and report on the activities of VCCI. BIZIC proactively supports the provision of information on the activities of VCCI and the business community to the group of reporters and journalists, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of information on the activities of VCCI in particular and the business community in general. In addition, the signing of information exchange agreements has also been promoted to diversify information serving the business community.

   In particular, to strengthen and build cooperative relationships with the press and businesses, in the coming time, VCCI will coordinate with agencies to implement the program of coordination of work "Press and businesses together for a prosperous and happy Vietnam" including relevant agencies: Central Propaganda Department, Ministry of Information and Communications, Vietnam Journalists Association and VCCI. The program is important in orienting and promoting the role of the press in building a business environment and a media environment to promote business development, contributing to the implementation of national development goals in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

   In addition, continue to proactively implement activities to provide information to serve the activities of VCCI and enterprises such as improving the quality and efficiency of the VCCI website (www.vcci.com.vn), building economic - business newsletters, building platforms and information tools to support enterprises. The Center also continues to improve the efficiency of management and operation of information technology infrastructure to serve the activities of VCCI. To carry out this task, BIZIC has connected, consolidated and strengthened close cooperation with a group of specialized reporters and journalists assigned to monitor and report on the activities of VCCI. At the same time, activities to support enterprises, disseminate policies, promote trade and investment, training, etc. continue to be implemented to meet the needs of enterprises.
