When do you get unemployment support due to Covid-19?

Mr. Tran Thanh Phong (Lam Dong) works as a driver for Dong Thuy Co., Ltd., has a 9-month labor contract and quits from April 1, 2021 to present. According to local guidelines, he is not eligible for support.

Mr. Phong asked, why is his case not receiving difficulty support due to Covid-19?

The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Lam Dong province responded to this issue as follows:

Due to the incomplete information he provided, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs called to get more information and found that Mr. Tran Thanh Phong has been fully insured by Dong Thuy Co., Ltd. After 9 months, Mr. Phong and the Company agreed to terminate the labor contract in accordance with regulations from April 1, 2021.

His case is not eligible for unemployment benefits under the provisions of the Employment Law.

The time he quit his job was April 1, 2021 before the request of the competent state agency to stop working to prevent Covid-19. Therefore, he is not eligible for support under the Prime Minister's Decision No. 23/2021/QD-TTg dated July 7, 2021, stipulating the implementation of a number of support policies. employees and employers facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

His case is also not eligible for support under Decision No. 1900/QD-UBND dated July 20, 2021 of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee on approving policies to support workers facing difficulties due to the Covid pandemic. -19 in Lam Dong province according to Clause 12, Section II of Resolution 68/NQ-CP dated July 1, 2021 of the Government.
