The meeting was attended by President of the Vietnam - Singapore Friendship Association (VSFA) Vu Viet Ngoan, Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Nguyen Quang Vinh, Co-Chairman of the Vietnam-Singapore Business and Chairman of DOJI Do Minh Phu, Deputy Director of Enterprise Informatics Institute Nguyen Ngoc Khiem and related departments.

The meeting discussed the structure, functions, activities, vision, plans of the working group, as well as the agreed system for establishing the BWG secretariat. This working group is designed to connect the Vietnamese business community and interact with Singapore working group to exchange and share information and experiences, seek cooperation opportunities on digital transformation, as well as solve problems together and make policy recommendations to the governments of the two countries for effective digital transformation.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice President Nguyen Quang Vinh said that promoting digital transformation is one of the three development strategies of VCCI for the 2021-2026 term. VCCI is also planning a working strategy to support the digital transformation of the business community under the direction of Decision 01 of the Government.

The interaction of this working group supports not only cooperation in the field of digital transformation but also international economic integration. Vietnam has joined many international treaties, so international cooperation in the field of digital transformation is extremely important.

It is known that this is the initiative of VSFA President Vu Viet Ngoan and Singapore Ambassador to Vietnam Jaya Ratnam at the end of January. The two sides agreed to establish the two countries' official cooperation mechanism on digital converters, which is in charge of the relevant agencies of the two countries. The two BWGs of Vietnam and Singapore will interact and support each other for digital transformation cooperation.
