VCCI signed a letter of intent of cooperation with BritCham

On April 6, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce & Industry (VCCI) signed a Letter of Intent of cooperation with the British Chamber of Commerce (BritCham) in Vietnam.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Pham Tan Cong – Chairman of VCCI said that Vietnam and the UK have a very good history of cooperation in economic development, especially in recent years. Over the past 35 years, Vietnam has carried out the “doi moi” process and has achieved a number of important achievements in socio-economic development.

According to VCCI Chairman Pham Tan Cong, in the next 23 years, Vietnam will strive to become a developed country. In the process of development, Vietnam has also learned a lot from developed countries, including the UK. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, he would continue to receive the sharing and support from the UK Government agencies.

“With this cooperation, we will promote the quality of environmental governance at the provincial level and strengthen PPP cooperation between private enterprises and localities. We will also cooperate in organizing training, retraining and capacity building for senior leaders in enterprises in Vietnam. These are all areas where the UK as well as UK businesses are very strong, so we are looking forward to your cooperation and sharing. I hope not only to receive cooperation and support from BritCham and British businesses, but also look forward to receiving support from UK Government agencies for VCCI as well as the Vietnamese business community.” VCCI Chairman Pham Tan Cong gave a speech.
