On May 14 in Can Tho, VCCI Mekong Delta Branch will organize the 2025 Annual Member Business Conference.

In the context that Vietnam is facing global economic and trade uncertainty, creating a negative wave, seriously affecting the global supply chain, changing the traditional trade structure and directly impacting domestic enterprises. In particular, creating great challenges for the agricultural and aquatic product processing industry, which is very risky and has many difficulties. Therefore, it is very necessary for businesses today to have a correct approach and a clear understanding of the developments in tariffs, world markets, etc. to adapt and have appropriate strategies.

The conference, with the theme "Adapting to new trade challenges - Opportunities and new directions for businesses in the Mekong Delta", is expected to gather 400 guests with the participation of VCCI leaders, representatives of the People's Committee, representatives of departments, business associations, industry associations, promotion centers in provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region, businesses in the Mekong Delta and business associations, businesses outside the region.

The conference is an annual event organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Mekong Delta branch, aiming to create opportunities for all member businesses of VCCI in the Mekong Delta region to meet, exchange, connect and cooperate with domestic and foreign businesses.

Within the framework of the event, along with business connection activities and product exhibition tours, VCCI Mekong Delta will report the business performance of the Mekong Delta in 2024 and the VCCI Mekong Delta Implementation Plan in 2025. Enterprises will review the achievements, shortcomings in operations in 2024; as well as have more directions from the action plan, accompanying member enterprises of VCCI Mekong Delta.

VCCI Mekong Delta will also organize the awarding of certificates to member enterprises, expanding the common "home" of enterprises to supplement the strength of the business community, continuing to make important contributions to the development process of enterprises and entrepreneurs in Can Tho City in particular and the Mekong Delta region in general.

In particular, within the framework of the event, enterprises will be reported by experts in the field of international economics and trade, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Economic Expert, Lecturer at the School of Public Policy and Fulbright and Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Department of Trade Promotion (Ministry of Industry and Trade) on the impact of US tax policies The conference will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on May 14 (Wednesday) at the TTC Can Tho Hotel.
