VCCI Chairman Pham Tan Cong presents to the President ABAC 2025 Report

VCCI Chairman, ABAC Vietnam Chairman Pham Tan Cong reported to President Luong Cuong on upcoming business activities at the APEC 2025 Summit Week in Korea.

 

Chairman of VCCI, Chairman of ABAC Vietnam Pham Tan Cong presented to President Luong Cuong the Report of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) in 2025.

On the morning of October 17, the representative of ABAC Vietnam, Chairman of VCCI, Chairman of ABAC Vietnam Pham Tan Cong presented to President Luong Cuong the Report of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) in 2025.

With the theme "Bridge. Business. Reaching Out", the Report includes 5 groups of policy recommendations and cooperation initiatives of the APEC business community to promote trade, investment, innovation and sustainable development in the region, including: Supporting open and rules-based trade; Reforming and strengthening the WTO; Promoting the process of forming the APEC Free Trade Area; Enhancing digital capacity and investment for sustainable infrastructure; Promote inclusive growth, focus on small and medium enterprises, gender equality, and create fair opportunities for all economic classes.

The Chairman of VCCI said that the content of this Report will continue to be presented and discussed further by ABAC at the Dialogue between APEC Economic Leaders and ABAC, taking place on October 31, 2025 in Gyeongju City, Korea, to seek guidance from APEC Economic Leaders on key recommendations of the business community.

 

"ABAC Vietnam respectfully hopes that the President will continue to pay attention, direct and support the activities of ABAC Vietnam and VCCI in the coming time," the President of VCCI expressed.

On this occasion, members of ABAC Vietnam also accompanied the President of ABAC Vietnam to present the Report of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) in 2025 to the President.

Earlier, APEC's leading business leaders expressed deep concern over the rapid changes in the global trade and financial environment. In this context, ABAC called on APEC Trade Ministers, scheduled to meet in Jeju, South Korea, in May to demonstrate a strong commitment to APEC's founding goals of free trade and investment, as well as the basic principles of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
