The two sides discussed measures to further promote cooperation between the Vietnamese business community and Fukuoka Prefecture.
In the areas of potential cooperation between businesses of the two sides, Mr. Tanigawa said that Japan currently has hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese workers working in Japan under technical internship programs, programs to send nursing candidates, caregivers, specific skilled workers, technicians, experts, interpreters, etc.
In particular, Vietnamese workers have been making significant contributions to the socio-economic development of Fukuoka Prefecture. Businesses in the province also commented that Vietnamese workers are skilled, hard-working and intelligent. Therefore, Mr. Tanigawa said that businesses of the two countries can promote cooperation in the field of human resources to provide high-quality labor resources to meet the needs of businesses.
