VCCI and CCPIT China agree to strengthen cooperation in 2025

VCCI and CCPIT China will actively promote closer business cooperation with a variety of activities in 2025.

During the working session between the Chairman of the Vietnam Chairman of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and Mr. Nham Hong Bin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the two sides agreed to increase many activities to promote cooperation and investment between the business communities of the two countries.

At the meeting, CCPIT Chairman Nham Hong Bin expressed his impression of Vietnam's economic achievements in 2024. Mr. Nham Hong Bin shared that after the success of the 3rd Central Conference of the 20th tenure of the Communist Party of China (July 2024), the Chinese economy also set the task of comprehensive reform, focusing on the development and expansion of new quality production forces by constantly exploring and innovating new technologies.

Accordingly, green economy and digital economy will be a breakthrough in the Vietnam - China relationship. The Chairman of CCPIT affirmed that he will continue to promote the role of the largest national trade promotion agency in China, continuing to promote economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

In addition, the Chairman of CCPIT emphasized that, on the basis of the existing solid relationship between the two countries, CCPIT and VCCI need to strengthen the effective implementation of operational plans in the coming time when the potential for cooperation between the business communities of the two countries is still very large.

Specifically, Mr. Nham Hong Ban proposed that, based on the new situation, as well as the new needs of businesses, CCPIT and VCCI re-sign a new memorandum of understanding on cooperation to suit the new stage in the Vietnam - China cooperation relationship.

Along with that, promote the encouragement of businesses of the two countries to participate in activities organized by VCCI and CCPIT in each country's market. In particular, Mr. Nham Hong Ban respectfully invited the Chairman of VCCI to attend the opening ceremony of the China International Supply Chain Expo 2025 and organize a Vietnamese business delegation to participate in the Fair from July 16-20, 2025.

The Chairman of CCPIT said: "Attending the Supply Chain Fair in China will be a beneficial activity for Vietnamese enterprises when linking the supply chain with production activities, as well as finding potential partners in China".

Mr. Nham Hong Ban also added that CCPIT is currently supporting foreign enterprises investing in Vietnam; conducting research on the investment and business environment in partner markets to help Chinese enterprises invest more conveniently abroad. At the same time, CCPIT also established a specialized group to receive problems and difficulties of foreign enterprises investing in China in order to promptly resolve them when investing in this market.

Therefore, Mr. Nham Hong Ban suggested that the two sides could share information on the investment and business environment and the difficulties of enterprises to have effective support measures, thereby strongly promoting investment and trade activities between the two countries.

Listening to the proposals from the Chairman of the Chinese CCPIT, Chairman of VCCI Pham Tan Cong affirmed that VCCI attaches importance to and wishes to strengthen cooperation with central and local agencies of China, including CCPIT, to promote the two-way trade between Vietnam and China to grow in quality, stability, balance, sustainability and contribute to the growth goals of each country.

Highly agreeing with the proposals from the Chairman of the Chinese CCPIT, the Chairman of VCCI said that VCCI will closely coordinate with CCPIT to implement trade promotion activities, as well as investment promotion in areas where China has strengths and Vietnam has demand such as high technology, electronics, processed food, textiles, automobile industry and supporting industry in the coming time; at the same time, support, connect and organize Vietnamese business delegations to participate in events, fairs and exhibitions organized by CCPIT in China.

In the coming time, VCCI will organize a Vietnam - China business exchange event in Lao Cai on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Chairman Pham Tan Cong hopes that CCPIT will introduce Chinese enterprises to participate in these events.

In addition, the Chairman of VCCI said that in the future, VCCI and CCPIT need to actively exchange and share experiences on the functions and tasks of the two sides such as consulting activities, policy development, especially in consulting and developing policies on science and technology to create conditions for enterprises to develop technology and participate deeply in the supply chain.

On this occasion, the Chairman of VCCI continued to affirm that VCCI always accompanies, supports and creates an open and transparent investment and business environment for foreign enterprises, including Chinese enterprises.
