Due to business specifics and personnel changes, Mr. Thai's company needs to annually apply for and exempt work permits.

Recently, due to changes in the procedures for issuance and confirmation of work permit exemptions, the processing time for applications has become quite long, affecting the renewal of work permits and the transfer of personnel within the company.

Mr. Thai requests the competent authority to review and address difficulties regarding administrative procedures and processing times for permit issuance.

Regarding this matter, the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs responded as follows:

On February 6, 2024, the Minister of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs issued Decision No. 151/QD-LDTBXH on the issuance of procedures for administrative procedure resolution regarding approval of demand for foreign labor use; confirmation of foreign workers not requiring work permits; issuance, extension, re-issuance of work permits for foreign workers working in Vietnam, including the procedures for receiving applications and handling administrative procedures in accordance with Government Decree No. 152/2020/ND-CP dated December 30, 2020, stipulating regulations on foreign workers working in Vietnam and recruitment, management of Vietnamese workers working for foreign organizations, individuals in Vietnam, and Government Decree No. 70/2023/ND-CP dated September 18, 2023, amending and supplementing certain provisions of Government Decree No. 152/2020/ND-CP.

Regarding any issues that arise for the company during the implementation of administrative procedures related to work permit issuance, it is requested that Mr. Thai specify them in a written reflection and submit it to the Department of Employment (Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs) for consideration and resolution.
