On July 12th, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Hoang Quang Phong chaired a press conference to announce the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" award for 2023.

The organization of this award is also one of the significant activities to concretize the Prime Minister's Directive No. 01 dated January 14, 2020, on promoting the development of Vietnamese digital technology businesses.

The "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" award for 2023 introduces new changes compared to the previous year. Outstanding digital technology products will be awarded in five categories: the four unchanged categories from 2022 are (1) Excellent digital product for the digital government; (2) Excellent digital product for the digital economy; (3) Excellent digital product for the digital society; (4) Potential digital product. In 2023, a new category (5) is added: Excellent digital technology product for the international market.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Hoang Quang Phong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), highlighted that Make in Vietnam products have truly become part of daily life and hold practical significance in the country's digital transformation and application in the digital economy and society.

"During our international interactions, our foreign friends highly appreciate the Make in Vietnam products. Over 30% of the recognized Make in Vietnam products from 2020 to the present have been successfully integrated into daily life with widespread adoption," said the Vice Chairman of VCCI.

In the past editions of the Make in Vietnam awards, many significant products have been discovered, such as the financial management platform of MISA, FPT Cloud's cloud computing platform, IoT Platform's digital technology platform, and base.vn's digital transformation platform.

"The organizers hope that development units will make even greater efforts to convince and captivate customers with Make in Vietnam products, meeting the demands of the country's socio-economic development, the expectations of the business community, and aligning with global trends. VCCI commits to accompanying businesses in promoting and commercializing these products," stated the Vice Chairman of VCCI.

This year's award will honor outstanding digital technology products, showcasing the intelligence and pride of Vietnam, and their significant impact on moving people's and businesses' activities into the digital environment, contributing to the advancement of digital government, digital economy, and digital society in Vietnam.

Notably, in 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications will accompany digital technology enterprises in expanding their presence in international markets. Therefore, the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" award in 2023 will also celebrate businesses that have successfully introduced exceptional digital technology products, services, and solutions in international markets. This will, in turn, encourage and inspire Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to continue their quest for conquering the global stage.

The "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" award is a prestigious and official recognition in the field of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), organized and presented annually by the Ministry of Information and Communications to outstanding Vietnamese organizations and enterprises that have researched, designed, innovated, and produced exceptional digital technology products in Vietnam to address domestic challenges and expand internationally.

Each award category will include Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Top 10 awards for the most outstanding digital technology products. The Ministry of Information and Communications looks forward to the active participation of the Vietnamese digital technology business community in order to search for and honor the most exceptional and deserving "Make in Vietnam" products in 2023.
