Vietnam and Cuba have a long-standing friendly and cooperative relationship. Currently, Vietnam is Cuba's second largest Asian trading partner with a bilateral trade turnover of about 134.7 million USD in 2024, of which Vietnam exported 133.36 million USD to Cuba, an increase of 184.3%, and imported 1.33 million USD from Cuba. Vietnam's main export items to Cuba include rice, electrical appliances, electronics, clothing, footwear, cosmetics, construction materials, household appliances, stationery, etc. At the same time, Vietnam is the largest investor in Asia in Cuba with 5 major projects, including Cuba's first concession project for a 100% Vietnamese-invested enterprise.

In order to promote trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, on the occasion of the business delegation led by the President of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Antonio Luis Carricarte Corona, attending the Viet Expo International Fair, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in coordination with the Cuban Embassy and the Cuban Chamber of Commerce organized the Vietnam - Cuba Joint Business Council Meeting and the Vietnam - Cuba Business Forum:

The meeting of the Joint Council is an opportunity for members to review activities during the year and make proposals and orientations to expand bilateral trade and investment relations.

At the Business Forum, in addition to having the opportunity to be updated on Cuba's trade policies and special incentives for Vietnam, businesses will also meet and exchange directly with Cuban businesses in the fields of agriculture, livestock, logistics, cotton, wine, etc. (List of Cuban businesses is attached).
