The policy of additional support of 1 million VND for pregnant women or those who are raising their own or adopted children or taking care of children under 6 years old applies to employees whose labor contracts are affected. suspending labor contracts, taking unpaid leave; stop working, terminate labor contract.

Mr. Ho Van Khanh (Ba Ria-Vung Tau) reflected that in the unemployment support package due to the Covid-19 epidemic, there is a policy to support unemployed people of VND 1,500,000 and employees who are pregnant and raising children under 6 years old is supported an additional 1,000,000 VND.

Currently, Mr. Khanh's wife lives in a small retail house (in a boarding house), has just been 33 weeks pregnant and is raising a 4-year-old child. But when the family goes to receive the support package, they only get 1,500,000 VND, not an additional 1,000,000 VND as stated. Mr. Khanh asked the authorities to answer this policy.

In this regard, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province replied as follows:

According to the provisions of Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP, Decision 23/2021/QD-TTg, the policy of additional support of 1,000,000 VND for pregnant women or those who are raising their biological or adopted or caring children. To take care of children under the age of 6 years old, applicable to employees whose labor contracts have been suspended or taken unpaid leave; stop working, terminate labor contract.

For the provincial policy to support self-employed workers, the current support level is only 50,000 VND/day/person, the time of support is calculated according to the actual number of working days of the unemployed worker, but not more than 3,500,000 VND; there is no additional support policy for self-employed workers who are pregnant and raising children.
